The crystal-clear waters
along the shores of Fethiye are ideal for
deep-sea diving, which is one of the

world. The fact that there are no negative
currents along the extensive shoreline assists
you in mastering this sport in an easy and safe
manner. Experienced diving centres in the region
arrange daily and nightly diving tours
throughout the year, both for beginners and
skilled divers, as well as extensive courses on
the basis of PADI, CMAS and BSAC.
At approximately 20 diving points, selected
for experienced divers, there are shallow rocks,
impressive caves, walls and tunnels for all
tastes. Furthermore, it is possible to perform
archaeological dives where one can see amphoras
dating back to 334 B.C. when Alexander the Great
conquered Asia.
During weekly diving tours with traditional
schooners, you can enhance your diving skills at
points en route to Marmaris from Fethiye-from
Kas or Fethiye. These weekly tours offer you a

certificate. While attending theoretical and
practical courses given by skilled diving

boat reaches the diving point after a short
trip. Following an introductory course on
equipment and general rules by expert diving
teachers, your first dive is in shallow waters.
The second dive after lunch, accompanied by your

even more.
Life in the Mediterranean manifests a variety of
fish, octopus, crayfish, lobster, eels and, less
frequently, sea-turtles and dolphins.

Devrent Valey has various types of fairy
chimneys. Among these are caps, cones, musroom
like forms, pillars and pointed rocks. With the
action of smaller, secondary volcanoes and the
action of rivers, wind and flood waters, this
layer of tuffan has slowly but steadly been
eroded to produce the rock formations know as
"fairy chimmeys". We will take a walk through
this amazing valley.
