A jorney of about
1 hour by air-conditioned bus through
spectacular mountain and coastal scenery brinas
us to the banks of the lake at Dalyan. Here,
small covered boats take us down the meandering
Dalyan river delta, twisting and turning through
thick vegetation which is overlooked by the 4th
century BC Rock Cut Tombs, sculpted hundreds of
feet up into the sheer cliff face. A stop at the
sulphurous mudbaths. After lunch at a riverside
restaurant, we spend the afternoon on the golden
sands of Iztuzu beach, famous for its protected
breeding ground of loggerhead turtles. |
