to olypos. However, an understanding of the city's history
will make each step you take and each historical ruins you
see more enlightening and enjoyable. In Lycian times the
ancient port city of Olympos was one of the members of the
Lycian Federation. Because of the wealth of olympos, it had
three (compared to less wealthy cities that had only one)

Dalyan

jorney of about 1 hour by air-conditioned bus through spectacular
mountain and coastal scenery brinas us to the banks of the
lake at Dalyan. Here, small covered boats take us down the
meandering Dalyan river delta, twisting and turning through
thick vegetation which is overlooked by the 4th century BC
Rock Cut Tombs, sculpted hundreds of feet up into the sheer

Tlos & SAKLIKENT

first explore the Lycian, Byzantine and Ottoman ruins at
the ancient city of Tlos, home of the winged horse Pegasus.
From the hilltop castle, the view of the surrounding countryside
is outstanding. We stop for a cool drink at the peaceful
Yakapark trout farm before heading off to Saklikent Canyon,
the 3rd longest gorge in Europe & Asia.

site of Tlos, situated on a steep hill and therefore

difficult to reach. We can see an Ottoman Castle on

from Fethiye Harbour around 10:30. Enjoy some swimming or
snorkelling at the tranquil Aš Bay where lunch will be
served as well. Our
1st night is spent in Cleopatra's Bay, here we can swim in
the ruins of an ancient bath and enjoy an nice dinner & some
sunset drinks.
